1.London Wall - The Questors Theatre
About: After accepting a role as a typist in a solicitor's office, fresh-faced Pat is soon exposed to the harsh reality of the 1930s workplace – and specifically the attentions of slimy Office Manager, Brewer.
Gender and sex politics come to the fore in John Van Druten's prescient comedy.
Revived by the Finborough in 2013, The Guardian's four-star review described London Wall as a play "with a social purpose" that "still has some pertinent things" to say about "sexual double standards and the exploitation of women."
When: 13 to 20 July.
Where: 12 Mattock Ln, London W5 5BQ
Price: See website for prices
2. Ealing's 1970s Wasteland
About: This evocative exhibition of black and white photographs documents an important but often forgotten part of central Ealing's history.
The exhibition comprises about 40 photographs of the clearance of The Grove area community prior to the construction of the new town centre.
They are taken by Ian Cole, a photographer who was living in Ealing at the time.
When: 15 to 30 June. 1-6pm.
Where: Open Ealing, Unit 14, School Lane, Dickens Yard, W5 2TD
Price: See website.
3. Gala & Model Railways Show!
About: A great day out for families and everyone who loves railways and steam!
There will be an opportunity to view HKWR's rolling stock of 1960s diesels as well as over ten model railway layouts on show.
There are steam train rides, face painting, a play train, and a picnic area with hot and cold drinks and ice creams available.
As an extra attraction for children, the railway will also be running a 7 ¼ gauge steam sit-on train all day.
Kempton Steam Museum next door to the railway will also be open with their awesome triple-expansion engine high as four stacked double-decker buses working and 'in steam' – a rare opportunity not to be missed!
When: 15 to 16 June.
Where: Hampton Kempton Waterworks Railway, Snakey Lane, Feltham, TW13 7ND
Price: See website.
