1. QExtra Writers' Week - The Questors Theatre

QExtra Writers' Week finsihes this weekend (credit: The Questors Theatre).

About: This year’s New Writing Festival features 6 distinctive evenings given over to a range of new theatre work across written forms.

Audiences are encouraged to join us for as much of the week as possible and to play an active part in both critical and creative encouragement.

The week has been developed by David Erdos and forms the first part of PAGE; the playwrights appreciation group whose aim is to workshop and learn from the great theatrical voices and to develop a house style or sensibility within new writing at The Questors Theatre.

2. Grayson Perry: The Vanity of Small Differences

The Vanity of Small Differences is a new exhibition from Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery, Ealing (credit: Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery).

About: Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery in Ealing, London, are hosting Grayson Perry's exhibition, The Vanity of Small Differences.

This significant cultural event displays Perry's six monumental tapestries for the first time in the historic house where William Hogarth's A Rake's Progress, the inspiration for the series, were bought for and displayed—providing a remarkable opportunity to draw parallels between two artists who, despite being separated by centuries, share a profound interest in the moral and social narratives of their times.

3. Ealing Art Group's Summer Exhibition

Ealing Art Group's Summer Exhibition is at Gunnersbury Park Museum this weekend (credit: Ealing Art Group).

About: An Exhibition of multi media and 3D art by local artists, including our popular 'Affordable Art' wall.

4. Ealing Comedy Festival 2024

This Friday, 26 July is the closing gala of Ealing Comedy Festival 2024 (credit: Ealing Comedy Festival).

About: She might be 30 years old, but Ealing Comedy remains one of the leading comedy festivals in the UK. Highlights this year include Dara O’Briain, Stephen K Amos, Jo Caulfield, Ian Stone, Joel Dommett and much much more.   

Programmed by Headliners Comedy Club, Greg Proops, Ed Byrne, Stephen K Amos, Alistair McGowan, Omid Djalili, Lee Mack and Sean Lock have all walked the boards in the Big Top. 

When: Thursday, 25 and Friday, 26 July. Gate opens at 6pm and show starts at 7:45pm.
