Record GCSE success at St Benedict’s School for 2025

St Benedict's School in Ealing is celebrating its strongest set of GCSE results in recent history, with this year's Year 11 pupils achieving record-breaking outcomes under pre-pandemic grading standards.
Almost half of all grades awarded were 9 or 8, while 70% were graded 9–7, marking a major milestone in the school's academic journey.

Deputy Head – Academic, Fiona Allen, praised the students' efforts: "These results are testament to the persistence, determination, and commitment shown by our well-deserving students.
"We also recognise the dedication of our teaching staff, whose expertise and encouragement have been instrumental in guiding students to these achievements.
"Finally, we extend our gratitude to parents and families, whose support has been invaluable in creating the conditions for our students to thrive."

Headmaster Joe Smith added: "I am immensely proud of our Year 11 students' achievements this year.
"These GCSE results are the strongest we have recorded under normal grading, and such outcomes reflect not only the hard work and aspiration of our young people, but also strength in our teaching.
"It is especially encouraging that so many of our students—including most of our highest achievers—will remain with us for the Sixth Form."

Among the standout successes this year were:
- Riona E and Krishan D – Grade 9s in all nine subjects.
- Dyran B, Maximus M, Susannah O'S, and Jack W – all gained a full set of Grade 9s and 8s.
- Reilly H – all Grade 9s and 8s, including a remarkable full marks score of 220/220 in Geography.

Student Krishan D reflected on his achievement: "I'm really pleased with my GCSE results. I had great support from all my teachers and learned very early on in my GCSEs that working consistently is the key to getting good results."
Fellow student Elias G added: "I'm thrilled with my GCSE results. I'm very grateful for the support of all my teachers and family and excited for what comes next!"

Head of Year 11, Donal McKeown, said: "All of us who have worked with the young people receiving their GCSE results today send them huge congratulations!
"We have watched them grow in confidence and in their care for one another in our school community.
"Today is both a personal and collective celebration, the culmination of effort and enthusiasm, and the gateway to the next exciting step on their journey."

The school congratulated the GCSE Class of 2025 and said it looks forward to welcoming the majority of pupils, along with new joiners, into the Sixth Form in September.
