Roads reopen as police probe continues into murder at Ealing pub

Roads around the Star & Scorpion pub in Ealing have reopened this lunchtime after a lengthy police investigation into the death of a man at the venue on Uxbridge Road last night.

The man, reported to be in his fifties, died at the scene after being stabbed.

This morning Uxbridge Road and other link roads were closed while police investigations continued.

They have now been reopened but the pub itself remains closed and a cordon is in place outside it. Police forensic officers are workingin within the pub.

Following initial confirmation of the man's death police issued the following appeal: "Anyone with information or any witnesses who are yet to speak with police are asked to call 101, ref 8656/23jul. To remain anonymous, please contact Crimestoppers."

No further statements have been released and no one has yet been arested in connection with the incident.
