An application has been submitted to Ealing Council to turn a property in Greenford, Ealing into a 'small-scale' house in multiple occupancy (HMO) of up to six residents.

David Mansoor Consultants plan to turn a mid-terrace single family home in Wadham Gardens, Greenford into an HMO as well as add two single-storey rear extensions, a garden room outbuilding to the rear of the site, plus the conversion of the existing loft space to include a rear dormer window.

The alterations to the existing site will provide five bedrooms: two on the ground floor, two on the first floor, and one on the second floor.

In its planning statement, the applicants say: "This development will see the formation of the full width rear dormer window to maximise the use of the new second floor level, to facilitate the formation of an additional bedroom space with ensuite amenities.

"The new converted loft space will boast two windows to the rear of the dormer, fronting the bedroom and ensuite bathroom space."

It adds: "The proposed rear extensions have been designed to provide an additional bedroom space for the host dwelling, with en-suite bathroom amenities.

"No overlooking into neighbouring private space will be created by the proposed rear extension works."

In addition, the home's current garden shed will be demolished and would be replaced with a new playroom for the residents.

If plans are approved, it would see the home become an HMO that could allow between three and six people live together in the same household.

The proposals are due to be decided. To read the full planning application click here.
