Detectives investigating the murder of a young woman in Ealing continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
Police were called to reports of a stabbing in Robert's Alley, off Church Gardens in South Ealing, shortly after midnight on Tuesday, May 17.
Ania Jedrkowiak was found with multiple stab wounds and died at the scene.
The 21-year-old had finished work at a restaurant in Ealing and was walking home with a friend when she was attacked.
Detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command continue to piece together the events leading up to Ania's death and believe there may be several witnesses who have not yet come forward.
Officers will return to South Ealing this evening (Monday, May 23) to speak to residents in the area and offer reassurance.
A man has been charged with murder and there is nothing to suggest there is any risk to the wider community.
Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, the senior investigating officer, said: "Ania's life was taken in the most tragic of circumstances and her family are understandably completely devastated by what has happened.
"My team of detectives have already made significant progress, however I believe there may be people with information who we have not yet spoken to and I am keen to speak with them as soon as possible."
A post-mortem examination carried out on Thursday, 19 May confirmed Ania died from multiple stab injuries.
Her family continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
Information can be provided by calling 101 or by calling Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111. The reference for the incident is 77/17May. Footage can be uploaded via this link.
