Notting Hill and Ealing school creates 'Scarecrow Stroll' to get people outside for their daily walk

By Dimitris Kouimtsidis 26th Aug 2021

NOTTING Hill and Ealing School created a walking trail around Ealing, where children and families tried to spot 'Sporty Scarecrows' on their daily walk.

The aptly named 'Scarecrow Stroll' was suggested by Year 8 student, Morven, who is one of the Willow Tree Youth Sports Ambassadors at the school, whose role is to encourage others to be more active.

She thought that the stroll, which was launched earlier this month would be a fun way to get people outside for their daily walk, with 29 scarecrows to find.

Families could also get involved and display their own scarecrows outside their homes, or even draw a large scarecrow and display it in their front window.

Notting Hill also displayed scarecrows at the front of the junior and senior schools, as well as at other sporting facilities in Ealing.

Prizes were also given out for the best scarecrows created, as well as the family or person who managed to spot the most.
