New job club at Colin Bryant Centre in West Ealing to support local residents
Clarion Futures, the charitable foundation of Clarion Housing Group which owns and manages hundreds of homes across Ealing, has unveiled a new job club at the Colin Bryant Centre in West Ealing.
Taking place every Monday from 1-4pm, the sessions offer a range of support for local residents including guidance from a dedicated employment advisor to develop and improve CVs, search for employment opportunities and apply for roles.
Drop-in sessions will also provide access to training courses and job opportunities through the Clarion Futures network, as well as support to improve digital skills and benefit from device loan schemes.
The Colin Bryant Centre sits at the heart of the multimillion-pound Sherwood Close regeneration project being delivered by Clarion Housing Group in partnership with Ealing Council.
Clarion Futures say the project is transforming a former 1970s estate into a thriving, green neighbourhood of high-quality new homes.
The development is now in its third and final phase, and will ultimately deliver 362 new homes, with two thirds being affordable.
The Colin Bryant Centre is managed by Nucleus Community Action, a not-for-profit local advice and guidance organisation, in partnership with Clarion Futures and provides a space for people to come together to take part in activities and access support.
Victoria Whittle, Head of Jobs and Training at Clarion Futures, said:
"We know that often people face a wide range of barriers to finding work, and that's why job clubs like this one are so important, providing personalised advice and support.
"The drop-in sessions are open to all local residents, not just those living in Clarion homes, and we're hoping to see lots of people coming through the doors to help kickstart their job search."
The Clarion Futures job club takes place each Monday from 1-4pm at the Colin Bryant Centre, Unit A, 1 Longbow Apartments, Holbeck Road, West Ealing, London, W13 9HB.
