A NEW Italian restaurant and cocktail bar is set to open in Ealing next week.

Meadow is opening its doors to the public for the first time on Saturday, August 7, with a capacity for 111 covers.

The new restaurant is located at 5-6 The Green in Ealing Broadway, replacing Carluccio's.

It will offer a contemporary take on traditional Italian cuisine with a relaxed atmosphere, bringing a slice of Italy to Ealing.

Focussing on the best seasonal British produce, Meadow blends an appreciation of classic Italian dishes with contemporary cooking.

At the heart of the menu is a charcoal grill, which brings a distinctive 'flavour of the forest'.

The menu will feature traditional favourites and all handmade pastas will be freshly prepared each morning.

The menu was created by executive chef, Oliver Pollard, who has taken inspiration from his time working with some of the top chefs in the industry.

He said: "I wanted to create a menu that takes inspiration from Italian dishes, whilst having the freedom to interpret them in my style, and not be too tied down to tradition.

"I want to cook the food that I love to eat".

The restaurant's aesthetic also promises to be noteworthy, including a swing covered in a floral vine, which makes a statement at the front of the venue.

Meadow also takes great pride in sourcing sustainably and thoughtfully, with their food evolving with the seasons and will work closely with suppliers who will bring daily deliveries.
