A MAN has been taken to hospital following a fire at a flat in Greenford.

The Fire Brigade was called at 9:50am on Monday, August 9, to a property on Oldfield Lane South and brought the blaze under control by 11:24am.

Four engines and around 25 firefighters from Ealing, Northolt, Southall and Wembley attended the scene.

Part of the flat – located on the first and second floor above a shop – was damaged by the inferno.

Apart from the man who was taken to hospital suffering with smoke inhalation, another two men were also treated at the scene.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
