A MAN has been taken to hospital following a fire at a flat in Greenford.

The Fire Brigade was called at 9:50am on Monday, August 9, to a property on Oldfield Lane South and brought the blaze under control by 11:24am.

Four engines and around 25 firefighters from Ealing, Northolt, Southall and Wembley attended the scene.

Part of the flat – located on the first and second floor above a shop – was damaged by the inferno.
