Man charged with attempted murder following Ealing stabbing

DETECTIVES have charged a man with attempted murder following a stabbing in Acton.

Officers were called to Spencer Road in the early hours of Monday, March 15, to reports of a stabbing.

A man in his 40s was taken to hospital with stab injuries to his neck and head.

His condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

Peter Ormes, 56, of Spencer Road, was subsequently arrested and charged with attempted murder, while also being accused of possession of an offensive weapon.

He was due to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, March 16.
