WITH the introduction of the coronavirus vaccine taking place earlier this week, thousands of people are being sought to administer vaccines around England.

Ealing residents can now register their interest in joining the COVID-19 Vaccine Team.

"Your contribution will be vital in fighting the pandemic in your community," the billing reads.

The job title is COVID-19 Vaccination Programme Vaccinator and it pays from £10.09 - £11.19 per hour.

Applicants must be aged 18 or over.

No previous medical experience is needed but people with clinical, care or first aid experience will be prioritised in the first wave of applications.

All vaccinators will receive training and their role will primarily be administering the jab into a person's shoulder muscle.

There are also positions available in two other related roles as well.

These are for registered health care professionals and clinical supervisors, which pay £12.74 and £16.04 per hour respectively.

All roles are expected to last between three to six months, but that is subject to change.

Recruitment is being led by NHS Professionals, a government wing that supplies temporary workers for the National Health Service.
