Hanwell meadow celebrates seventh Green Flag Award

Katherine Buchan Meadow in Hanwell, Ealing celebrated its Green Flag Award on Sunday (21 July) for maintaining a high standard green space.

Amanda from Katherine Buchan Meadow told Ealing Nub News: "We are delighted to receive our seventh consecutive GreenFlag Award, it is a testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of all the volunteers who show up and support the ongoing development of Katherine Buchan Meadow."

The Green Flag Award is an international accreditation given to parks and green spaces that meet high standards of maintenance, safety, and environmental management.

It recognises well-managed parks and green spaces around the world, promoting excellence in recreational and environmental quality.

Katherine Buchan Meadow is a small wildflower meadow on the corner of Green Lane and Du Burstow Terrace in Hanwell W7.

The Green Flag Award was launched 28 years ago in 1996.
