WEST London based artists, Kate Winskill and Raph Thomas, have been responding to the demand from local residents to brighten up the walls they have spent so much time hemmed in by.

With three of their pop up galleries closing in March ( including the one at Ealing Broadway shopping centre), the duo are making appointments to deliver art, giving customers the chance to see what works on their walls.

Kate Winskill, artist and founder of design company 1of1 design told Nub News: "Buying original art can be nerve wracking if you've never done it before.

"And buyers remorse when you've bought something the wrong size or colour for a room is grim.

"So we are giving people the chance to try different artworks out in their own homes before they buy."

Raph Thomas, paints colourful rainbow animals and has built up a loyal following in the seven years since he became a full-time artist.

"Many of my clients have started their collection with limited edition prints.

"When they are thinking of making the jump to original paintings, it helps enormously to be able to judge how a piece works in your own home.

"I am always happy to bring pieces to the customer, leave them for a viewing and discussion out of earshot of me so that they don't feel obligated to buy a painting they are unsure of.

"And the process is COVID secure!"

If you are interested in seeing any of the hundreds of pieces of original artwork available, check out these websites:

www.1of1design.co.uk and www.raphthomasart.co.uk.

You can then email Kate Winskill on [email protected] and she can arrange to bring work to your door.

A selection of work is also displayed at the Oak Road windows at Ealing Broadway shopping centre.
