A London geology company are hosting a mineral and fossil sale put on 14th January to help raise funds for Ealing Foodbank.

Georocks sell the fossils and minerals at below retail price and the request that an extra 10% on the price is donated to charity, in this case for Ealing Foodbank.

The sale will be taking place on Saturday 14th January at Old Stables House by West Ealing Station between 10am and 2pm.

Proceeds from the sale will be going to Ealing Foodbank, one of the busiest foodbanks in the country, which has operated since 2013, with eight centres across the borough, and between March 2021 and April 2022 they served 31,900 people.

They rely on donations from the public, churches, schools, and businesses for funding and non-perishable food to help people in need across Ealing.

Some of the rocks on sale will be: Amethyst and Citrine cathedrals, Labradorite and Fluorite, carved bowls in a variety of stones, half and whole ammonites and Sand Dollars, large petrified wood slices, and Megalodon teeth.
