PARKS across Ealing will have free activities for children and families this summer.

ParkPlay offers free fun and games for everyone each Saturday in parks across the UK, and will now be bringing their activities to Ealing.

ParkPlay will offer an array of events where people #MeetMovePlay together with others in their local community.

Everyone is welcome (both adults and children) and it is a completely free event.

The events will offer a range of fun games and activities, such as dodgeball, frisbee, scavenger hunts, quick cricket and many more.

The past year has highlighted how essential building a strong, happy, active community is to many people and as a Sport England funded charity, ParkPlay gives local people the opportunity to be active with others in a fun, informal and safe environment.

ParkPlay is already up and running in Gunnersbury, Blondin and Spikes Bridge Parks, with people playing every Saturday morning from 10am, while more parks will also join in over the next couple of months.

This has been possible thanks to support from local partners including London Tigers and Ealing Council.

Chris Bunting, Ealing Council's Assistant Director for Leisure said: "Ealing Council is delighted to be partnering with ParkPlay to provide opportunities for families and communities to be active together and play together, across all ages and backgrounds.

"ParkPlay sessions have already successfully launched in Gunnersbury Park, Blondin Park and Spikes Bridge Park and we are currently collaborating to deliver a range of other opportunities right across the borough.

"We believe that the key to their success is that the sessions are delivered by the community for the community; engaging through local people and groups, employing local teams, supported by local volunteers, designed for local needs.

"We encourage you to get involved today.

"It's free. It's outside. It's ace."
