A NEW greengrocer has opened its doors for the first time in Hanwell.

Nickson Masih, is the director of Fruity Season, located at 354 Greenford Avenue.

Nickson has spent many years in the grocery business and opened Fruity Season on April 23, with some help from his father who he describes as his 'mentor'.

He told Nub News: "I wanted to offer people a perfect experience, where their fruit and veg is always fresh and clean, and well looked after.

"We take great pride in being careful with our products and only having the best quality on offer.

"We have a wide selection of produce, great quality and flavour and sell most products loose so customers buy what they need, saving them money whilst reducing food and packaging waste.

"We're massive supporters of quality growers, that includes British and overseas farmers, and over the years, we've learnt that each season is special, mother nature brings us different treats every season. "

He specified that about 80% of their products on offer is fruit and veg, while the remaining 20% consists of herbs (that aren't available in supermarkets), drinks and some frozen foods.

Nickson is very happy with the response Fruity Season has received so far from the locals who seem to have taken very warmly to it, with many going to check it out despite it being slightly hidden under the scaffolding works.

Local resident, Leslie Bunder, wrote on Facebook: "Prices are competitive, quality is excellent, and the shop is nicely presented, as well as being spotlessly clean."

Another local resident, Beryl Bevan, described the new greengrocer as 'fabulous'.

Fruity Season is open seven days a week, 8am-8pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am-6pm on Sundays.
