Our top pick for this week is a weekend linocut workshop at the OPEN Ealing Arts Centre in Dickens Yard, with local artist, Jessica Rose.

In this short course you will work with a highly experienced printmaker and will quickly be able to create bold, expressive images using linocut techniques.

You'll learn how to:

• Plan and design an effective image, thinking creatively within the boundaries of the process.

• Cut lino safely and effectively using a variety of tools.

• Print by inking up a lino block and hand burnishing it or printing it on a table-top press.

• Print in colour, using reduction and key block techniques.

Your tutor will be available to work with you individually so you can either start from scratch or build on your knowledge by finding out about new and unusual techniques.

Basic materials will be provided.

The workshop will take place this weekend, August 7 and 8, from 10am to 4pm.

Cost is £100 total for both days; to book your spot, click HERE.
