Ealing's Soane's Kitchen unveils new Head Chef

By Dimitris Kouimtsidis 26th Aug 2021

SOANE'S Kitchen has unveiled its new Head Chef.

The restaurant, located within Pitzhanger Manor, is up and running again at full capacity following the lifting of coronavirus restrictions and has recently unveiled its new Head Chef, Andre Rhone.

Andre was born and bred in Ealing Borough, attending Cardinal Wiseman School, before studying at the University of West London.

At the age of 28, this is his first Head Chef role, having completed the 2016 Graduate Awards and scooping the much-coveted Apprentice of the Year title in 2011.

He started his career at the Royal Garden Hotel, before moving to Purnell's in Birmingham during their illustrious Michelin years.

He then went on to become a Sous Chef at The Bingham.

Andre has big plans for Soane's Kitchen.

Hailing from the borough, he is ecstatic to be able to let loose on sourcing local ingredients for his dishes, from Ealing gin-cured salmon, to hyperlocal honey, while he also plans to work with La Latteria in Acton for his spice and cheese needs.

Pitzhanger Manor's gardens also house some beautiful vegetable and herb plots.

He said: "I cannot believe I've landed this wonderful job in the area of London I know like the back of my hand.

"It's a very proud day for me."

The PEPPER Collective is powering the launch of Soane's Kitchen on behalf of the Pitzhanger Manor Trust.

Andrew Fishwick, Group CEO of the PEPPER Collective, said: "We are delighted to welcome Andre to the Soane's Kitchen family.

"He's a bit of a pocket rocket – with him comes bags of ideas and energy to breathe life into the kitchen at probably one of the most difficult times the industry has ever faced.

"We can't wait to see him grow with us!"

Soane's Kitchen is open five days a week, Wednesday to Sunday, 9am-10pm.
