Boston Manor Park is hosting a range of activities over the coming Winter weeks if you fancy embracing nature this New Year.

The morning events are running from December 30th until the end of January.

Winter Nature Walk

Thursday 30th December: 10.30am – 12, meet on main lawn of the park, by the Manor House.

Join Vanessa, Natural Park Manager of Boston Manor Park on a relaxed, guided walk through the park – the landscape may look dormant but there's still lots to see in our natural and varied habitats.

All ages and dogs welcome.

Conservation Tasks at Boston Manor Park

Tuesday 7th January: 10am – 12:30

Tuesday 18th January: 10am – 12:30

Saturday, 29 January: 10am – 12:30

Join Vanessa, in carrying out conservation tasks in the park that enhance our natural habitats. Wear clothes and sturdy boots/ shoes suitable for working outdoors.

Meet on the main lawn, by the Manor House. Suitable for ages 14 years and up.

Winter Tree Walk

Saturday 8th January: 10.30am – 12, meet on the main lawn, by the Manor House.

Join Vanessa on a fun walk to find out about and identify our native and most common tree species in the park.

You can be a tree detective and use clues such as bark, seeds and buds to see if you can identify the trees.

This is a free event but confirm your attendance by emailing: [email protected]

All ages and dogs welcome.

Bird walk and survey at Boston Manor Park

Saturday 29th January: 8.30am - 10am: Meet on the main lawn by the Manor House.

This weekend Boston Manor Park is contributing to the RSPBs Big Garden Birdwatch - an annual, nationwide survey of birds.

Join Vanessa for a walk around the park, woodland and meadow to survey and record the different bird species we see in the park. Bring binoculars if you have them.

Children must be accompanied by an adult and no dogs allowed at this event.

Boston Manor Park is a large public park in the London Borough of Hounslow.

A combination of woodland and open space, with an area adjoining the Grand Union Canal, it was created in 1924 from part of the historic estate of the 17th-century stately home Boston Manor.
