Corfton Road Surgery is to merge with Gordon House Surgery in development plans to address growing patient numbers at the Ealing practices.
UK health and wellbeing organisation, OneMedical Group announced the redevelopment plans to establish a new building, which they said is "essential to make sure the Surgery can continue to serve its patients."
According to OneMedical, the practice has grown from approximately 3,500 to 8,500 patients in the last 10 years, with care services provided using the same amount of space during this time.
OneMedical Property, the founding arm of OMG, is working with the practice and QAD Architects on the delivery of the new health and wellbeing centre, which they hope will provide better healthcare for the Ealing community.
Dr Alex Fragoyannis, Partner at Corfton Road Surgery, said: "We feel privileged to have served our patients from the Corfton Road Surgery site over the last 10 years.
"We have done so using a space that was not purpose-built or sufficiently large enough to allow us to offer all the services we feel we can provide.
"This new development is welcome and will allow local residents to access even higher quality healthcare, through world-class medical facilities."
Dr Fragoyannis added: "We are delighted to be working with OneMedical Group and QAD Architects, who have heavily invested in helping us improve our practice premises for the benefit of patients and staff."
The new building is designed to meet BREEAM 'Excellent' sustainability targets to ensure inclusivity and accessibility for all patients.
The multi-million-pound investment into improving facilities at Corfton Road Surgery is due to begin in Spring 2022, once planning permission has been obtained.
Corfton Road Surgery and specialist healthcare property organisation OneMedical Group, will run two virtual events for patients, residents, and those in the community to update and share details on the current progress with the redevelopment.
You can join the conversation at 6 pm or 7 pm on Tuesday 5 October.
