EALING has seen the lowest number of new coronavirus cases since October, with figures dropping for the sixth consecutive week.

Specifically, there was a decrease of over 29% of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released.

In the week of February 15 to 21, Ealing saw 437 new positive cases, compared to 616 the week before.

That figure represents a decrease of 29.1%, with 179 fewer new cases.

That means there was also a decrease in the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, with 127.9, compared to 180.2 the week before.

Those figures continue to be higher than the average across both London and England, however.

London as a whole had 7,295 new cases during the week of February 15 to 21, which represents 81.4 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

England saw 65,782 new cases during the same week, correlating to 116.9 cases per 100,000 people.
