EALING has seen an increase in the number of new coronavirus cases for the fourth consecutive week.

Specifically, there was an increase of over 36% of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released.

In the week of June 7 to 13, Ealing saw 286 new positive cases, compared to 209 the week before.

That figure represents an increase of 36.8%, with 77 more new cases.

That means there was also an increase in the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, with 83.7, compared to 61.1 the week before.

Those figures continue to be higher than the average across both London and England.

London as a whole had 6,445 new cases during the week of June 7 to 13, which represents 71.9 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

England saw 43,599 new cases during the same week, correlating to 77.5 cases per 100,000 people.
