EALING has seen another decrease in the number of new coronavirus cases, with figures dropping for the seventh consecutive week.

Specifically, there was a decrease of over 21% of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released.

In the week of February 22 to 28, Ealing saw 342 new positive cases, compared to 437 the week before.

That figure represents a decrease of 21.7%, with 95 fewer new cases.

That means there was also a decrease in the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, with 100.1, compared to 127.9 the week before.

Those figures continue to be higher than the average across both London and England, however.

London as a whole had 4,900 new cases during the week of February 22 to 28, which represents 54.7 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

England saw 45,748 new cases during the same week, correlating to 81.3 cases per 100,000 people.
