EALING has seen a drop of more than 15% of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released earlier today.

In the week of November 23-29, Ealing saw 584 new positive cases, compared to 693 the week before.

That figure represents a drop of 15.7%, with 109 fewer new cases.

That means there was also a drop in the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, with 170.9, compared to 202.7 the week before.

Those figures however are still higher than the average across both London and England.

London as a whole had 14,091 new cases during the week of November 23-29, which represents 157.2 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

England saw 86,175 new cases during the same week, correlating to 153.1 cases per 100,000 people.
