EALING has seen a drop of more than 20% of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released earlier today.

In the week of November 16-22, Ealing saw 693 new positive cases, compared to 867 the week before.

That figure represents a drop of 21%, with 183 fewer new cases.

That means there was also a drop in the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, with 202.7, compared to 256.3 the week before.

Those figures however are still higher than the average across both London and England.

London as a whole had 15,616 new cases during the week of November 16-22, which represents 174.2 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

England saw 113,921 new cases during the same week, correlating to 202.4 cases per 100,000 people.
