EALING has seen another decrease in the number of new coronavirus cases, with figures dropping for the 10th consecutive week.

Specifically, there was a decrease of over 2% of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released.

In the week of March 15 to 21, Ealing saw 220 new positive cases, compared to 225 the week before.

That figure represents a decrease of 2.2%, with five fewer new cases.

That means there was also a decrease in the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, with 64.4, compared to 65.8 the week before.

Those figures continue to be higher than the average across both London and England, however.

London as a whole had 3,312 new cases during the week of March 15 to 21, which represents 37.0 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

This comes as yesterday (March 28), London recorded zero coronavirus related deaths for the second time this year.
