SCHOOLCHILDREN in Ealing have been praised by the police for their entries in the 'Turn your Hero into a Superhero' competition that took place across West London.

Although no Ealing schools came in the Top 3, some entrants received an honourable mention.

These were from Clifton Lodge Primary School in Ealing Broadway, Hambrough Primary School in Southall and St Joseph's Primary School in Hanwell.

Ealing Police stated they had received, 'over 1,500 entries from 50 schools, the drawings included teachers, police, paramedics, doctors and more.'

The aim was for the children to 'turn their personal heroes into superheroes' and even though the competition winner was not from Ealing, the children in the Borough were still recognised for their beautiful pieces of work.

The police described these drawings as 'fantastic'.

The competition was open to children from schools all across West London and top prize was awarded to 11-year-old Namrai from Heathrow Primary School in Hillingdon.

Ealing Police described this piece of work as: "A great drawing to thank the scientists and everyone who has worked hard to produce the vaccines being deployed across the country."

All the children across West London who participated should be very proud of their achievements.
