A group of six artists and a designer have come together to launch their own pop up art gallery in Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre.
Organised by former marketing and PR executive Kate Winskill, the artists originally 'popped up' on October 17 next to Vision Express and opposite Poundland, but were forced to close down when the national lockdown came into effect on November 5.
They now hope to reopen on December 3 when the lockdown is expected to end, just in time for Christmas.
Kate Winskill told Nub News: "It was really disappointing when the second lockdown came in because we only have the space rented for 10 weeks, but now we're losing four of them.
"Those three weeks that we were open for were so great, we got a very good response from the people here in Ealing.
"We're hopeful we'll be able to return on December 3 and look forward to welcoming art lovers back."
There's a piece of art for everyone, with prices ranging from as little as £10, all the way up to £1,500.
"People have been at home all day because of the lockdown, so they'll be bored of the art they have on their walls, hopefully they'll want something new for Christmas," added Winskill.
Pop up art galleries are becoming very fashionable around the world, as a more affordable and accessible way for people to view and buy art.
"Some people can be a bit intimidated by art galleries, whereas our setup is much more approachable in a shopping centre, so we're very grateful to Ealing Broadway centre for allowing us the opportunity to connect with these people that would otherwise not get the chance to view original art," said Winskill.
