POLICE are appealing for information after a man's body was found in the Grand Union Canal in Greenford.

Officers were called to the scene at 11:19am on Saturday, July 24, to reports that a man's body had been found in the water off Kensington Road.

Officers want to identify the Asian man aged between 50 and 60 who was pronounced dead at the scene.

He had three scars on his body, but these were not connected to his death as they're likely from surgery according to the police.

He has been described as clean shaven and wearing a black shirt, with black trousers and a grey jumper.

The death is being treated as unexplained and despite extensive enquiries, officers have not yet been able to identify him or inform his family.

Anyone with information is urged to call the police on 101 and quote the reference number CAD 2948/24JUL.
