A planning application has been submitted to Ealing Council to change the use of a five bedroom property into a residential care home.
Developers Architecture Haus UK, wants to turn a household in Wyresdale Crescent, Perivale into a residential household for up to five residents aged 16+ who will be supported and receiving care full time.
The residents would all be young people who are under the care of Ealing Council and there would be a resident carer residing to support them.
Currently, the home is a three bedroom but the application plans to convert it into a five bedroom through two extra bedrooms in the loft.
In the planning application, it says: "The residents would be living a communal life as one household, enabling them to live as normal lives as possible in touch with the wider community.
"It would not be the case that any of the residents would need nursing, medical care or attention."
All meals would be prepared in the care home and the residents would eat together as a family unit.
The application adds: "There would be on-duty support worker or who would be there to provide support using a person cantered approach in the least intrusive way, with the emphasis on supporting residents to make informed choices about their individual lifestyles and to find the joy in living, whatever their needs and circumstances."
A decision on the planning application is yet to be made, but to read the plans in full, click here.
