AN Ealing man has been sentenced to 53 months in prison for supplying drugs.
Last August, PC Bateman from the West Area BCU Violent Suppression Unit began an investigation in the Montana drug line operating in Ealing, which was selling heroin and crack cocaine.
Bateman and his colleagues were able to identify the ringleader behind the operation as Abdalah Nur, 22, of Winchester Street, Acton.
By gathering evidence it was proved that Nur had controlled the Class A drug line from a vulnerable person's address.
On September 26, Nur was arrested and found in his possession was the mobile phone used to run the drugs line.
The following day (September 27) Nur was charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine.
He originally pleaded 'not guilty' but changed his plea following the overwhelming evidence presented against him.
Earlier this month on March 12, he was sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court to 53 months' imprisonment for being concerned in the supply of heroin and 53 months for being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, with both to run concurrently.
Sergeant Ed Ade from the West Area BCU Drugs Focus Desk said: "This case shows the resolve of the West Area to deal with those determined to cause harm to our community.
"Working closely with and supporting our colleagues, we will continue to find, arrest and convict those dealing drugs on our BCU.
"We can't stress this enough, if you know a local drug dealer or someone who is exploiting a vulnerable person by using their house to deal drugs, please speak to the police."
