The annual Ealing Half Marathon returns this weekend on Sunday, 29 September which means some roads around Ealing will be closed for runners.

The 13.1 mile marathon will be run in a single lap, taking in parts of Central Ealing, Montpelier, Pitshanger, West Ealing, Hanwell and St Stephens before returning to Walpole Park via the Uxbridge Road.

Road closures are expected to begin as early as 6am on 29 September near the race start line and no vehicle movement will be possible on the course until the event has finished.

The race organisers and Ealing Council have said they 'appreciate that some residents will be inconvenienced by the road closures in place for the safety of all, and would like to thank residents for their understanding'.

Bus Diversions

Ealing Half Marathon will affect buses in the Drayton Green, Ealing, Greenford, Hanger Lane and West Ealing areas.

Routes 207 427 483 and 607: From 7am-1pm, diverted in both directions between West Ealing Broadway and Ealing Broadway via Northfield Avenue, Little Ealing Lane, South Ealing Road and Ealing Green.

Route E8: Subject to diversion between 7am-1pm, due to extensive road closures. Catch your bus at 'Ealing Broadway Station' or 'Dean Gardens/Bedford Road' 

Route E2: From 7am-1pm, no service between West Ealing Broadway and Greenford Broadway.

Route E3: From 7am-1pm, diverted in both directions between West Ealing Broadway and Greenford Broadway via Hanwell, Uxbridge Road and Greenford Road.
