Blue Ocean Fish & Chips in Pitshanger has been nominated by the public under the best fish and chip category for the London Retail Business Awards 2024. 

On its Instagram page, Blue Ocean said: "This recognition means the world to us, and we couldn't have done it without your support. Thank you to all our wonderful customers for being a part of this journey." 

The establishment has been featured on MyLondon in an article titled: The 10 best fish and chip shops in West London according to Google reviews. 

"A very popular place, reviewers warn that there are long queues on Friday and Saturday nights." 

The business awards have been running across England for the last six years. 

Blue Ocean will be assessed through mystery shopping. Mystery shoppers can phone and make internet and Facebook inquiries to test customer experience.

They might also call in to test products and services. If there are difficulties accessing the business, a member of the awards team will investigate.

Businesses are chosen randomly for mystery shopping to ensure fairness of the judgement procedure. 

"We have a far more engaged local and national audience than other business award competitions through our regional qualifying stages then annual Grand Final.  

"Nominated by the public, the competition was designed by talking to local businesses and finding out how they wanted it to be managed and it continues to evolve," according to the awards website.
