Our top pick for this week is The Water's Edge – a new play coming to the Questors Theatre.

A play called The Water's Edge, by multi-award-winning feminist playwright Theresa Rebeck, makes its way to The Questors Studio in Ealing this weekend.

Inspired by The Oresteia, the play focuses on a fractured family reunion, with fateful consequences...

Surrounded by the serenities of nature, an old face casts a shadow over a glistening lake.

After a 17-year absence, a father dares to return to his family - a challenge difficult enough, even without a new girlfriend in tow.

Ever since the fatal "accident"which tore their family at the seams, his wife Helen has been left, ridden with grief, to bring up two children. Now, Richard attempts to win back the affections of his family.

However, the past cannot help but haunt them, especially when it is lapping at their doorstep.

But is Richard revealing all his cards? Will Helen give into his charms? And what happens when people believe that the only way to heal is to hurt?

Promising to be a 'profound contemporary play', which will leave 'an impact as powerful as an epic Greek Tragedy'.

Previous praise for director Lucy Aley-Parker:

"Through Lucy Aley-Parker's direction, Roy Williams' Days of Significance is made even more terrifyingly raw, yet captivatingly compelling" - Mark Aspen Reviews

The performance will be on from 6 to 13 November daily at 7.45pm (excluding Mon & Sun) and Sunday at 2.30pm.

Running time: 2 hrs (including interval).

Tickets from £7 - £14.
