AN Ealing drug dealer has been sentenced to 30 months in prison after getting caught with crystal meth.

Angelo Fazzino, 46, of no fixed abode was sentenced on July 7, for possession with intent to supply crystal methamphetamine after pleading guilty to the charge.

At 9:50pm on November 2 2019, officers from Ealing ASB Team were on patrol around Ealing Common.

During their patrols they noticed Fazzino sat in the driver's seat of a vehicle.

On seeing the police, he tried to conceal items in the passenger footwell.

Officers spoke to Fazzino before deciding to carry out a search, in which they found a bag in his jacket pocket, containing what appeared to be crystal meth.

A larger bag of crystal meth was also found in another pocket (with an approximate street value of £3,000) and Fazzino was arrested on suspicion of possession of crystal methamphetamine with intent to supply.

A search of the vehicle resulted in electronic scales and other drug dealing equipment being found.

An examination of the suspect's phone found further evidence that he was involved in the supply of drugs.

PC Forrester of Ealing's proactive ASB team said: "Working in partnership with the local authority, we have been able to target our patrols to anti-social behaviour hotspots, proactively trying to reduce the criminal behaviour and provide a safe environment for the community to live in.

"Drug misuse is an aspect we take very seriously and this has been echoed by the sentence imposed by the court".
