EALING has seen an increase of over 10% of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released.

In the week of January 4 to 10, Ealing saw 3,666 new positive cases, compared to 3,323 the week before.

That figure represents an increase of 10.3%, with 343 more new cases.

That means there was also an increase in the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, with 1,072.5, compared to 972.2 the week before.

Those figures are now higher than the average across both London and England.

London as a whole had 83,099 new cases during the week of January 4 to 10, which represents 927.2 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

England saw 332,842 new cases during the same week, correlating to 591.3 cases per 100,000 people.
