An investigation is underway after a body was found on fire in Northolt this morning.

The London Fire Brigade received reports of a fire in Belvue Park on Rowdell Road at 4.19am today (Monday, June 13) and called police to the scene after firefighters from Northolt Fire Station identified a body, believed to be male, was on fire.

He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 4.37am.

Officers are working to identify the deceased, at this stage believed to be a male, and inform next of kin.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained and there have been no arrests.

In a statement posted on Twitter shortly before midday Ealing Police said: "A scene is in place and enquiries are ongoing, led by the West Area Command Unit".
