A man who was assaulted in Greenford has died from his injuries.

Police were called to a hospital in west London on Friday (June 10) evening after a man suffering head injuries was admitted for care.

The man, believed to be Greenford resident Grezgorz Fiuk, 47, sustained his injuries in the Whitton Avenue West area of Greenford in Ealing at around 4:30pm that same day. 

He remained critically ill in hospital until his death yesterday (Sunday, June 12).

While formal identification awaits, his family have been informed.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the investigation, one of whom was subsequently de-arrested. One was released on bail to a date in July and a third was released under investigation. The parties are believed to be known to each other. 

Detectives are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident but have asked witnesses and anyone with information to contact them.
