Deborah Meaden shows support for Warren Farm campaigners
Dragons' Den star Deborah Meaden has criticised Ealing Council getting rid of nature as she comes out in support of Warren Farm campaigners.
Ealing Council voted on 21st February to build a sports facility on half of Warren Farm in Ealing, the only location in the borough where the endangered skylark have been able to settle, despite the protests of many people in the borough and a petition with almost 21,000 signatures.
Meaden took to Twitter to quote tweet a post by Warren Farm Nature Reserve of a photo of Warren Farm.
She said: "What is going on here… we know that nature protects us. Both physically and mentally and we are literally waging war on her. This needs to stop…"
The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant has joined a host of other high-profile people to have supported the campaign to prevent a sports facility at Warren Farm, including Megan McCubbin and Ajay Tegala of Springwatch, and Billy Heaney of Countryfile.
