The Central Line is experiencing extensive delays due to a fire alert this morning, causing the part suspension between Liverpool Street and Epping/ Woodford via Newbury Park.

The line was suspended at around 10:30am, and the part suspension between Liverpool Street and Epping/ Woodford has now been lifted, but the whole line is still experiencing severe delays.

The location of the fire is as yet unknown, whether it is at a specific station, nor is the severity of the fire known.

A statement of the Transport for London website said: "Central Line: Severe delays due to an earlier fire alert. London Buses, Chiltern Railways and Greater Anglia accepting tickets via any reasonable route."

This will, naturally, impact commuters in Ealing as underground services from Ealing Broadway will be impacted by these delays.

Many of those who were travelling on the Central Line have said on social media that they have been left to sit in the cold whilst the line was suspended.
