A bus driver has been arrested after a man was killed following a collision with a bus in Hounslow on Saturday 21st January.

Police were called to investigate around 9:20pm and have since arrested a 59-year-old man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene, he was taken into custody before being released on bail.

The collision took place around 7:19pm at the junction of Cranford Lane and Armytage Road, and a 40-year-old man was rushed to a west London hospital, and he died shortly after arrival.

Police know the identity of the man who was killed and have informed his next of kin, with a post-mortem set to be held in due course.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit want to hear from anyone who might have been driving in the area and caught dash cam footage, or those who might have witnessed the incident.
