SHAKEEL Mohammad who had gone missing in Hanwell last week has now been found safe.

The 25-year-old was last seen at 2pm on March 16, with his brother, Muhammad Nabeel, issuing daily pleas to help find his 'seriously vulnerable' brother, as he described him.

A community search had been organised for earlier this morning in a coordinated effort with the police, but it was cancelled at the last minute, following reports that the police had found an unidentified person in a hospital who they thought could be Shakeel.

It has now been confirmed by his brother that this unidentified person is in fact Shakeel and he is safe.

Muhammad has taken to social media to thank the community that rallied behind him and his family regarding his brother's disappearance: "We can't be thankful enough to everyone who helped, prayed and wished for his life."

It is still unclear what happened to Shakeel during the past 11 days since he was last seen but stay tuned for more details once they're made available.
