Ealing Central Library remains closed since Monday (30 October) because of a bed bug infestation.

In an update today via X, (3 November) the library said: "Unfortunately, Ealing Central will remain closed on Friday 3 November.

"We are still working hard with professional pest controllers to treat the bugs and give the library a top to bottom deep clean.

"We will reopen the library when we are happy that the bugs have been successfully treated.

"We apologise for any inconvenience this situation may cause and thank residents and library staff for their understanding."

Bedbugs are small insects that often live on furniture or bedding.

Their bites can be itchy, but do not usually cause other health problems says the NHS.
