A real estate company has put an electrical shop in Bond Street, Ealing on the market in search of new tenants for £35,000 per annum.

Home to City Radio Stores, which has traded on Bond Street since 1929, is now to let by O'Brien Real Estate to any party looking to "benefit" from the Class E unit.

Situated close to the junction with High Street and The Green, City Radio Stores is part of Ealing's history, believes Rupa Huq.

The Ealing Central and Acton MP via X said: "A bit of Ealing history set to vanish. I recall buying an adapter for a Bontempi organ there in about 1988 as it was so draining of batteries but must confess not used it much since."

Under Huq's tweet, which has been viewed more than 7,000 at the time of writing, many locals reminisced about their memories of the electronics shop.

One user commented: "My dad used to go to this shop in the 60/70's to buy his Valves and Transistors, amongst other things."

Another said: "I bought a triac there around 1982 to build my own light dimmer: very pleased with myself when it actually worked (and stayed in use for some years)."

On its website, O'Brien state: "The unit has excellent footfall immediately outside and is surrounded by multiple retailers, restaurants and takeaways. There is pay and display parking available in close proximity.

"The premises benefit from Use Class E. The ground floor is approximately 563 sq ft with a staircase leading to a basement of approx 635 sq ft. There are WC facilities.

"Available by way of a brand new Full Repairing & Insuring lease at a rent of £35,000 per annum exclusive on terms to be agreed."
