A teenager has now been charged over the murder of a 62-year-old man in Hanwell on Sunday 19th March.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with murder and will appear in Ealing Magistrates Court later today after an investigation was launched by the Metropolitan Police.

Police were called to the junction of Uxbridge Road and Boston Road at around 12.50pm on Sunday after reports that a man had been assaulted, the man was taken to hospital and died later in the day.

Formal identification is still being awaited after informing the family of the man, but officers are satisfied that the deceased is Jerald Netto from Southall.

Two other males were initially arrested in connection with the incident, another 16-year-old boy was released without any further action, and a 20-year-old man has been bailed pending further enquiries.

No other individuals are presently being sought in connection with the incident, but any witnesses yet to speak with police or anyone with any information are asked to call police on 101 and give reference 327/19Mar. Alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
