THE University of West London (UWL) will join volunteers this winter in an effort to help out Ealing Foodbank.

The University's London Geller College of Hospitality and Tourism (LGCHT) will be delivering supplies each month from now until March.

This will be done to ensure that families in need across the community have enough food and other provisions in the run up to Christmas and beyond.

James Edmunds, Dean of the LGCHT said: "As we enter the winter months and renewed lockdown measures across the country, we know the increased pressure that will be placed on many families, and on the charities and organisations like Ealing Foodbank that work so hard to offer support every day.

"Sadly, demands on their services are increasing, and we want to be sure that we are offering our support wherever we can, allowing our graduates and the University community to give back in what continues to be an incredibly difficult time for so many."

The additional donations have been made possible with the help of the University's COVID-19 Response Appeal which was established to support students and members of the community who find themselves in need as a result of the pandemic.
