Ealing's COVID-19 cases double in a week, but still remain among the lowest in London

EALING has seen an increase of over 109% of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released.

In the week of December 14 to 20, Ealing saw 1,794 new positive cases, compared to 858 the week before .

That figure represents an increase of 109.1%, with 936 more new cases.

That means there was also an increase in the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, with 524.9, compared to 251.0 the week before.

Those figures continue to be lower than the average across London, but higher than the average across England.

London as a whole had 63,797 new cases during the week of December 14 to 20, which represents 711.9 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

England saw 159,601 new cases during the same week, correlating to 282.5 cases per 100,000 people.
