AN Ealing based theatre company has put on a virtual music show that was rescheduled from March, following the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

IMPACT Theatre is a registered charity that aims to promote a positive image of disability and to develop communication and self-confidence, through participation in performing and creative arts and other supporting activities.

Every year they put on around five shows, with one of them being the Classical Brunch, which this year was scheduled for March 29.

A classical trio called Ombra were invited to perform, while guests would be having brunch at the theatre's café in Perivale.

Due to the outbreak of the pandemic however, the event had to be rescheduled for a later date.

Technical Director of IMPACT Theatre, Salvatore Scollo told Nub News: "We had so many events planned that had to be rescheduled.

"With the pandemic not looking likely to be over anytime soon, we decided to go ahead with the Classical Brunch virtually so that people can still enjoy the music."

The show was held on December 13, with people invited to make brunch at home, while listening to Ombra play music.

Scollo added: "We released a few recipe ideas online for people to follow in case they wanted to mimic the experience they would've had in person.

"At the same time we also played a slideshow during the video concert that exhibited members' artwork."

The Classical Brunch is still available to watch on YouTube, with more virtual events planned for the new year.
