LEYLAND SDM has opened its newest Ealing store, this time in Acton.

The decorating and DIY firm officially opened its latest store last Monday, March 15, at Units 5-7 on Cowley Road, in what was previously a GDC Paints outlet.

This is the company's 25th store in London and second in Ealing Borough, following the one in Ealing Broadway.

The stores stock a comprehensive range of more than 22,000 products across all departments, including paint and decorating essentials, building materials, electrical fittings, tools, plumbing equipment and ironmongery.

The company employs more than 350 people across its stores in the Capital and is currently recruiting for staff to work in its Acton shop.

Jonathan Jennings, Chief Executive of Leyland SDM, said: "We're delighted to be opening this new store in Acton, which will be great news for both trade professionals and people carrying out DIY jobs in their homes.

"The coronavirus pandemic has been a huge challenge for the whole country.

"However, in line with Government guidance, we have been able to keep our stores open to serve people carrying out essential maintenance and improvement work.

"This means we have been able to continue with our programme of store openings, with a further four new stores in addition to Acton planned across London between now and the middle of May."

The new store is open seven days a week: 6:30am – 6pm on weekdays, 7:30 am – 5pm on Saturdays and 10am – 4pm on Sundays.
